Focal Length

Definition: Focal length is measured from the focal point to the lens center in a digital camera. The measurement unit of the focal length is millimeter and this length is commonly equivalent to the 35mm film measurement.

Without the support of any shooting abilities for photos over very long distances or at wide angles, a lens which has the measurement within the human vision is a 50mm lens. While the measurement of shorter than 35mm is common for the shooting capabilities at wide angles which offer a broader field of view (FOV), the distance of more than 70mm is shot under the zoom or telephoto shooting capabilities which offer a smaller FOV.
