With this mode, it is very easy to use the camera. This is especially great for photographers who are looking to transfer from a point and shoot model to an interchangeable lens camera.
The SL1 also offers a 3.0-inch touch screen LCD. You can shoot four frames per second, and record nice movies with the full HD video mode. You can purchase the SL1 with the camera body only or with a kit lens. The weight of the SL1’s camera body alone is 14.36 ounces. With this weight, this camera becomes the lightest DSLR on the market with such a large image sensor.
Overall, the SL1’s performance levels and image quality outperform other Canon Rebel cameras. Besides the smaller size is a great plus. And the price is very reasonable for such a good camera, making the Rebel SL1 an easy 5-star choice.
3. Canon PowerShot ELPH 520 HS
The Canon PowerShot ELPH 520 HS is a nice point and shoot camera that has attracted many photographers with its interesting sharp-edged design. And not only the design is cool, the photographic features are also great.
The optical zoom lens with the ELPH 520 HS is just 12X. With this zoom lens measurement, the 520 HS becomes the world’s thinnest 12X zoom camera. And the thickness of the ELPH 520 HS is measured just 0.76 inches.

The outstanding feature of the X-S1, however, is its large image sensor. This sensor is measured at 2/3-inches, which helps you obtain the great results in low light photography.
The price tag of this camera is pretty high compared to that of many other fixed lens cameras. Therefore, it may be beyond the budget of many photographers. But the great features of this camera are obvious
5. Nikon Coolpix P500
The P500 is a nice one point and shoot camera that I will highly recommend to people for most of the time.
With the Nikon Coolpix P500, you will see one of the most versatile lenses that can be found on a point and shoot camera.
The optical zoom lens of the P500 is very impressive, which is up to 36X. With this camera, you can shoot photos at strong wide angle capabilities, in which the zoom ranges from22.5mm to 810mm. According to Nikon, this P500 camera performs very well in shooting macro, thanks to its powerful lens.
The P500 has a CMOS image sensor with the resolution of 12.1 megapixels. It is nice to have a high-resolution 3-inch LCD screen and the 1080p HD video capabilities help you record a lot of nice videos. There are two color options with the Coolpix P500, including red or black.
6. Nikon Coolpix P7700
The Nikon Coolpix P7700 is one of the most impressive advanced fixed lens cameras which you can find in the current market.
There was an advanced Nikkor lens glass included with this Nikon camera. Besides, the camera has a 7.1X optical zoom lens and a CMOS image sensor which is larger than usual with the 12.2MP resolution. 8. Olympus PEN E-PM1 DIL
The PEN E-PM1 offers some really nice features in which you can shoot photos with a 3.0-inch LCD and a CMOS image sensor which has the 12.3 megapixel resolution. The full 1080p HD video mode helps create nice movies. This camera is very thing with the thickness of just 1.33 inches (before you attach the lens) while the weight is only 7.65 ounces for the camera body.

9. Panasonic Lumix ZS10
If you are looking for the latest “gadgets” integrated into your digital camera, the Lumix DMC-ZS10 manufactured by Panasonic will be exactly the model for you. includes a There is a 3.0-inch touch screen LCD with the ZS10 and a 16X zoom lens in a small, point and shoot camera. Besides, the built-in GPS unit is a nice feature.
To find one of these features in a camera is always nice but it is not common to have all three above features in one camera while it has just a sub-$250 price tag. 10. Samsung NX10 DIL
The NX10 from Samsung offers interchangeable lenses like a DSLR camera, but it is smaller in size because of its mirror-less design.
The NX10 has a 3.0-inch AMOLED screen, which is brighter than traditional LCD screens and it uses less power. (AMOLED is short for active-matrix organic light emitting diode.) In addition, this Samsung NX10 DIL has the resolution of 14.6 megapixels.
There are three available color options with the Samsung NX10, including black, silver, or a limited-edition white. The camera has won both a DIMA Award and a Plus X Award, so it also listed to be one of the best cameras in 2010. It is a little bit hard to find the NX10 at this point in time, because of being slightly older, but it’s a really nice DIL model.
11. Sony Cyber-shot WX9
There includes a CMOS image sensor with the Cyber-shot WX9, in which you can obtain better results for low-light photography. And, as I mentioned in my WX9 review, the performance of the Cyber-shot WX9 is nice in low light conditions.
The resolution with this camera is 16.2 megapixels for shooting still images. And the 1080i HD video mode is also supported for recording nice videos. But there are not many angle capabilities in the WX9’s 5X optical zoom lens. You can look for the WX9 to be available in black, red, and silver.
